Q: What is the difference between 3D and 4D ultrasound?
A 3D ultrasound is a static 3 dimensional image of your baby and 4D adds the dimension of time, allowing you to view your baby’s movements. While you do go home with images of your baby (3D), the most amazing part of the experience is seeing your baby move.   Spend the majority of your session in 4D mode so that you don’t miss any precious moments inside the womb.

Q: Is it safe? Are there any risks to me, or my baby?
Studies have shown that ultrasounds have not been shown to cause any harm to mother or baby.

Q: Do I need an appointment?
Yes, appointments are necessary for all of our services.

Q: Do you accept insurance?
No, we do not accept insurance because this is an elective procedure. We accept Visa, MasterCard, and debit cards.

Q:  When is the best time to have a 3d/4d ultrasound?
That depends on what you are looking to see. Many mothers like coming in twice, early on, 15-26 weeks, when they can see the baby as a whole, and then again at 25-34 weeks to see a more detailed face. Between 28 and 32 weeks, your baby develops more fat and gets a more defined face. After 34 weeks, it becomes more and more difficult to obtain good pictures since the baby is running out of room. However all babies are different and we have been successful in obtaining great images all the way up to 39 weeks.

Q: Will I always get a beautiful picture of my baby?
Usually, but not always. Sometimes if the baby is persistently looking face down, i.e. towards your spine it may be difficult to see the baby's face. Other factors, such as the baby facing the placenta or lack of amniotic fluid in front of the baby’s face, may affect the quality of the images.  If we are unable to obtain images during the session, we will schedule a repeat scan on a weekday, allowing time for the baby to turn to a favorable position. We make no promises that the images will be similar to those you might have seen elsewhere.   We promise to make every effort to obtain the best possible images of whatever parts of the baby that can be seen.

Q: Can I bring my family and friends?
Yes!   We encourage our families to invite their family and friends to participate in this special occasion.   Babies and children are also always welcome at our facility.

Q: When is the best time?
Although 4D ultrasound images can be obtained at any stage, the best time for chubby cheeks and facial features is 26-32 weeks. The best time to see unfelt fetal movements and to get an overall look at the body is 22-25 weeks. We do offer gender determination starting at 16 weeks with proof of prenatal care.

Q:  What should I do prior to the 3D/4D appointment?
Drink plenty of water in the days leading up to your appointment to ensure your amniotic fluid is clear. About a half hour before your 3D/4D ultrasound scan, try to drink a fruit juice so that your baby will be awake during your session (unless you are told not to by your physician).

Q:  When do I get my 3D/4D pictures and videos?
Less than 5 minutes after your session has ended.

Q:  When can the sex of my baby be determined?
At 16 weeks we can determine the gender with a very high accuracy. If you are over 15 weeks and the gender cannot be seen, we invite you back for a weekday return appointment and we will rescan you for free within the next 14 days. The need for a return visit is usually due to the baby's position.  We do not guarantee a 100% accuracy on any gender determinations, as this is a entertainment service not diagnostic.

Q:  Will my doctor be contacted about the 3d/4d ultrasound?
We do not contact your doctor prior to the scan since this is an elective procedure. If we do see something wrong during the scan, we contact your doctor and send her the report. We do require, however, that you currently are under prenatal care and if you have any concerns, you should consult your doctor. Ultrasound technicians, in general, cannot make a diagnosis.

Q:  Do I need permission from my doctor and can you diagnose abnormalities?

Our services are for entertainment purposes only.  Baby Bundle informs both parents, that services offered are not conducted for diagnostic purposes. It is required that all participants are under the care of a physician and have had a diagnostic ultrasound.
